All sections of society will benefit from self-reliant MP: CM
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Governments are not forever but the development of the state should continue. With the cooperation of all of us, we are creating a new self-reliant Madhya Pradesh, in which all sections of the society will be benefitted.
CM Chouhan was replying to the discussion on Governor’s address in State assembly on Friday. He said that dream of building a prosperous and strong India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being fulfilled.
Government has reduced the VAT and excess VAT on petrol and diesel. Beneficiaries under various schemes were transferred `118455 crores in their bank accounts, he added.
Chouhan further said that farmers were not paid crop insurance premium of 2200 crores by earlier government, we deposited the premium and the amount of 3100 crores was given to the farmers, 100 crores of horticulture crops were deposited in the accounts of the farmers. Similarly, 800 crore rupees were given to cooperative banks. Under the Prime Minister’s Samman-Nidhi, 78 lakh farmers of the state received an amount of Rs. 5474 crores.
Wheat procurement was 1.29 lakh metric tonnes while 37 lakh metric tonnes of paddy were purchased at support price in the state.
