Akhilesh slams Yogi govt for changing names of districts
Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav slammed the Yogi Adityanath government for changing the names of districts and other public places across the state.
“The Yogi Adityanath government seems to have launched a new fashion of name change which has the sole objective of misleading the people ahead of the 2022 UP Assembly elections. I caution you not to go to Lucknow. If you go there then it is quite possible that you may not return with the same name as UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a new fashion of changing names and colours. If it is discovered that you are from Etawah, then your name will certainly be changed,” Akhilesh Yadav said in Etawah on Friday.
Regarding the 2022 Assembly elections, the SP chief said that his party would continue to strive to bring all those political parties on one platform that were determined to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party.
“The BJP wants to capture power in Uttar Pradesh by deceit as it knows the people of the state are determined to dislodge it from power in the 2022 elections. The BJP has put the development clock back in pursuit of its divisive politics and is playing the politics of polarisation” the SP chief charged.
Akhilesh further said that the BJP was pursuing the agenda of increasing economic inequality instead of bridging the gap and the ruling party had launched a vicious campaign to malign the agitation of the farmers who have been demanding a rollback of the three new farm laws.
