Shivraj Singh chairs meet, okays land exchange policy
In a virtual meeting of the Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday, a decision was taken regarding exchange of private land with government land for construction of 4-lane Atal Pragati Path under Bharatmata project.
An amount equal to twice the value of the affected private land to be acquired in the special construction work of Atal Pragati Path Project, was given permission to be transferred to the affected persons in exchange of government land. Along with this, twice the value of the assets situated on the land coming under the project was allowed to be given to the affected land owner.
Atal Pragati Path will pass through Sheopur, Morena and Bhind districts of Madhya Pradesh. The total length of the path is 313 km in Madhya Pradesh. This path has been included in the Bharatmala project by the Government of India. Land for the construction of 4-lane road in the project is to be provided free of cost by the state.
A total of 1300 hectares of private land, 1523 hectares of government land and 270 hectares of forest land are covered in the project comprising the three districts. Thus a total of 3093 hectares of land is being affected. In all the three districts, 1523 hectares of government land has been transferred to the National Highways Authority of India in September 2020. The process of diversion of a total of 270 hectares of forest land is in progress. 1300 hectares of private land is being affected in the project. In the present provisions, government land has to be made available by exchange at par with private land. This work is to be completed by December-2021.
The Cabinet has decided to approve a proposal to obtain a loan of Rs 50 crore from NCDC for setting up of 30 metric tonnes per day capacity milk powder plant in Indore Dugdha Sangh at a cost of Rs 80 crore 14 lakh 79 thousand and to approve government. guarantee on the said loan under the Madhya Pradesh Government’s Guarantee Rules 2009.
