CM flags off first phase of scheme
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has sent 11 vehicles from Mantralaya premises to districts for 89 tribal-dominated blocks of the State under Ration Aapke Gram Yojana in the first phase on Tuesday.
Such a system is being ensured for all tribal-dominated development blocks by the month of December under the scheme. Chouhan said that with the implementation of this scheme, our tribal brethren will get necessary food grains to their villages and homes without any hassle. Earlier, for ration people had to go to the ration shop. Yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this important scheme on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day celebrations. This is a new scheme for the welfare of tribals, which is also important from the point of view of saving time, energy and money.
Chouhan said that the youth who are performing the responsibilities under the scheme, have been selected from the tribal class and not from government servants. Modi had yesterday handed over the keys of vehicles to Anil Armo of Dindori and Laxmi Narayan of Mandla at the Tribal Pride Day function held at Jamboree Maidan, Bhopal.
In the scheme, arrangements have been made to give loan guarantee and margin money to the youth of the tribal class for the vehicle. Provision of weighing machine and salesmen in the vehicle will surely be in the interest of the consumers.
In the scheme, food distribution will be done on a fixed day in each village.
Under the Mukhya Mantri Ration Aapke Gram Yojana, the ration items to be distributed from 4,000 fair price shops in 20 districts will be delivered to the consumers of the tribal class through vehicles. This arrangement will take 450 vehicles.
The number of villages benefited from the scheme is 7,500. Implementing the scheme, Chouhan on Tuesday showed the green signal to 12 vehicles for tribal dominated areas. He took stock of the food distribution arrangements and the utility of the vehicle by riding on it with the ministers.
Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Bisahulal Singh, Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Meena Singh, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Science and Technology Minister Om Prakash Sakhlecha, Tourism and Culture Minister Usha Thakur, Cooperation and Public Service Management Minister Arvind Singh Bhadauria, Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare, Ramkhelawan Patel, Minister of State for Public Works Minister of State for Public Works Suresh Dhakad, Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Faiz Ahmed Kidwai and officers were present.
