CM releases book on Prayagraj Kumbh
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath released a book, ‘Prayagraj Kumbh’, which focuses on Prayagraj Kumbh-2019, saying the book would prove a milestone for researchers and inquisitors.
This book has been published by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSR).
The chief minister said that the present government was determined to preserve the Kumbh’s heritage. “It is my good fortune that I got the opportunity to organise Prayagraj Kumbh-2019. The government has set a unique example of cleanliness, security, and orderliness at the global level during Kumbh with religious and spiritual flavour,” the chief minister said.
The chief minister said that the Prayagraj Kumbh also became a symbol of social harmony. He said the state government propagated the legacy of Kumbh through the ‘logo’ of ‘Sarva Siddhi Prada Kumbh’. He said invitations were sent to all the embassies of the world with the request that at least one person from their country must attend the event.
The chief minister said that the Prayagraj Kumbh set new standards from the point of view of security, cleanliness and orderliness, in which technology had special importance and using technology, Ganga was made clean and pure.
“More than 24 crore devotees took bath in Prayagraj Kumbh. An Integrated Command and Control System was established to monitor such a large number of people. On the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, more than five crore devotees took bath, which was a record,” Yogi said.
On this occasion, Director General of Police Mukul Goyal, Additional Chief Secretary (Information and MSME) Navneet Sehgal, Economic Advisor to Chief Minister KV Raju, Director Information Shishir and officials of ICSR were present.
