CM urges citizens to wear masks

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has appealed to the citizens of the state not to be negligent towards the use of face masks. The Madhya Pradesh government will raise people’s awareness and, if required, is also contemplating imposing a fine by strictly enforcing the use of masks.

Chouhan was discussing with Health Commissioner Sanjay Goel, Director NHM Chhabi Bhardwaj and other officials of Health Department at the residence on Sunday.

Chouhan discussed the issue of corona infection in the state with the officials of Health Department. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that positive cases have increased in Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior, which is a matter of concern. Infection has also increased in districts bordering Maharashtra. Health check-ups are also being conducted for those coming from Maharashtra.

The Chief Minister said that corona has to be controlled completely through public support. This requires caution, but there is no need to panic. Everyone should also be aware about the washing of hands with sanitizer and soap.

He has urged the common people not to be too relaxed and not give up caution or else they could be affected by the disease.

There is complete safety in precautions. The face mask itself is a guarantee of protection from infection, so do not be careless in its use. The Chief Minister said that adequate vaccine is available in the state, which will be administered to all. The Central government is making the necessary supply of vaccine.
