MP tourism: Statewide quiz show on August 9

BHOPAL: Schools in Bhopal have been asked to gear up for a state-wide quiz contest based on Madhya Pradesh tourism. The event will be held on August 9. The competition will be conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and registration will begin on July 5.
Secretary of tourism department, Hari Ranjan Rao, has asked officials to ensure timely preparation for the occasion. The programme aims at increasing the general knowledge and interest of schoolchildren in tourism.
Students from Class 9th to 12th can participate in the event. Every school will have a team of 3 students. The best 6 teams will qualify for a written test and will participate in the state-level Multimedia Quiz Contest. The top three teams of each district will get gift coupons by the tourism board. This competition will be fully organised by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board in coordination with District Tourism Promotion Committee, District Administration and School Education Department. Necessary guidelines have been issued by the board to school education department.
