Poster hails Akash, gives Opp chance to corner Govt
The issue of senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kailash Vijayvargiya’s MLA son Akash bashing municipal official continues to heat up politics in Madhya Pradesh as posters hailing the MLA son of Vijayvargiya came up in Indore on Friday.
Posters scripted with ‘Salute Akash ji’ came up in the city while his supporters are threatening to protest in favour of their leader. The municipal corporation Indore however remained on toes throughout the day removing these posters from the public places.
Meanwhile staffers of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation went on strike in support of their colleagues in Indore who were assaulted by the BJP MLA on June 26.
Akash, son of BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, was arrested on Wednesday after he was caught on TV cameras while assaulting the civic official while opposing demolition of an old house.
While denying him bail, a sessions court in Indore on Thursday transferred his case to a fast track court in Bhopal.
On Thursday, Akash was formally arrested in another case when he had staged a protest on power cuts on June 4.
Lakshman Singh, Congress MLA and the brother of Digvijay Singh on Friday in a tweet sought forgiveness for Akash saying senior BJP leaders were responsible such attitude.
