‘He wants all of Ukraine… will lead to Russia downfall’: Trump calls Putin ‘absolutely crazy’, criticises escalation of war | World News

In one of the sharpest criticisms of his counterpart in Moscow, US President Donald Trump called Vladimir Putin “absolutely crazy” over the escalation of Russia’s ongoing war with Ukraine.
In a strongly worded post on Truth Social, Trump accused Putin of “needlessly killing a lot of people” as Russia launched its largest aerial assault on Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022.
“I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!” Trump wrote Sunday night. “Missiles and drones are being shot into cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever,” the post read.

Trump’s come after a deadly wave of attacks Moscow, where 367 drones and missiles were launched in a single night — the highest recorded since the war began, according to Ukrainian officials. At least 12 people were killed and dozens injured in the assault on Kyiv and other cities.

The US President also wrote:
“I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!”
Trump recently also responded to recent accusations from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who criticised the US for its “silence” on the attacks. “Everything out of his mouth causes problems, I don’t like it, and it better stop,” he wrote. “Zelenskyy is doing his country no favours talking the way he does.”
