National Film Awards 2025 Live Updates: Shah Rukh Khan and Mohanlal will be in attendance at the 71st National Film Awards.National Film Awards 2025 Live Updates: The winners of the 71st National Film Awards were announced in August and, today, on September 23, the winners are being honoured with their awards in the presence of President of India, Droupadi Murmu. The ceremony will start at 4 pm, and is being held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
This year marks the first win for actor Shah Rukh Khan after a celebrated career of over 30 years. Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey are sharing the Best Actor honour for their films Jawan and 12th Fail respectively. Rani Mukerji is being honoured with Best Actress for her performance in the film Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. The Dadasaheb Phalke Award, which is the highest film award in the country, is being awarded to Mohanlal, who is known for his performances in some of the best Malayalam films in the last four decades. The Best Feature Film has been won Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s much loved film 12th Fail. The Best Director award has been won Sudipto Sen for The Kerala Story. Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani has won the Best Feature Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and Sam Bahadur has won the Best Film Promoting National, Social Values.
Rongatapu 1982 won Best Assamese Film, Deep Fridge won Best Bengali Film, Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery won Best Hindi Film, Kandeelu The Ray of Hope won Best Kannada Film, Ullozhukku won Best Malayalam Film, Shyamchi Aai won Best Marathi Film, Pushkara won Best Odia Film, Godday Godday Chaa won Best Punjabi Film, Parking won Best Tamil Film, Pai Tang (Step of Hope) won Best Tai Phake Film, Rimdogittanga won Best Garo Film, Bhagavanth Kesari won Best Telugu Film and Vash won Best Gujarati Film.
