The tweet has been liked 17,000 times and has several comments. This led to a debate among people discussing if a delivery agent should be allowed to use the building lift or not.One person in the comments wrote, “There is no point in raising such concerns. This is written in societies which has a separate lift for service. Food delivery and e-commerce people need to use that. It is stated to maintain safety and cleanliness. ” A second person added, “Electricity & AMC cost is very high Use of Zomato Swiggy is unequal among flat owners. Frequent for many, none for many. So objection members is fine from their side.” A third person added, “I agree.”In contrast to these comments, many disagreed with the note. A user added, “The one those who have posted this notice should also post another notice which states that people ordering food from Zomato/Swiggy should come to collect their staff from the ground floor of the apartment. Otherwise, it will be very unfair towards the Zomato/Swiggy people.” A second person wrote, “This discrimination is disgusting, to say the least! If the flat owners don’t want delivery people to use their lift, why don’t the owners come down from their high horses..err.. high houses and fetch their own packets?” A third person added, “Then residents should come down and collect their deliveries. This is inhumane to expect delivery boys to climb stairs in a multi-storey building and deliver.”
