Lisbon City Council gives Criano Ronaldo green signal to refurbish his residence

Portuguese star footballer Criano Ronaldo will be able to refurbish his residence in the city centre of Portugal’s capital Lisbon after getting the green light from the Lisbon City Council.
According to the Portuguese newspaper Noticias ao Minuto, the council has given permission to build, “a shaded pergola, not a canopy”. The Al-Nassr star had to take down a canopy two years ago.
The initial reform in 2021 came after Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez published a video recorded from the property’s terrace when the local media could see a metal structure outside the original building plan.
The city’s council then announced that they were going to inspect the building and a month later according to media reports, Ronaldo decided to take off the awning.
“A lack of respect” that was carried out “without the consent of architects, neighbours and without an approved project,” said architect Jose Mateus who was a designer of the apartment.

According to Spanish news outlet Marca, the apartment is worth 7.2 million Euros and is located in one of the most expensive parts of the city.
However, Ronaldo currently stays in Saudi Arabia where he plays for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. In the recent game, Al Nassr beat Abha a margin of 3-1, and it was a deserved result for the hosts, who dominated proceedings right from the word go.
Criano Ronaldo failed to score for the third time in a row even as Al-Nassr beat Abha to qualify for the semi-finals of the King Cup of Champions.
It took them only 10 seconds to score, and two more goals in the 20th minute and 49th minute propelled them to victory.

However, their skipper had an outing to forget as he produced occasional moments of brilliance in an otherwise disappointing performance.
Several times Ronaldo cut a sorry figure and often quarrelled with the referee.
