A few years ago, a picture of an egg was shared on an Instagram page called world_record_egg. The image became so popular that it surpassed Kylie Jenner to become the most-liked Instagram post in the world. The egg continued its victorious journey until it was dethroned in 2022 a picture of Lionel Messi holding the FIFA World Cup trophy. Soon after, the Instagram page dedicated to the egg, added two more pictures that showed cracks in the egg. Recently, however, all the pictures have been deleted and there is only one image visible on the profile – an image that shows just a shadow against a white background. Shared with the caption “Where’s the egg gone?”The post has left people scratching heads for answers.

Since being shared, the post has received over 3.6 lakh likes and the numbers are only increasing. Many took the route of hilarity while trying to guess where the egg went. A few also expressed their disbelief at the deletion of the second-most liked Instagram post.“Messi ate the egg,” joked an Instagram user. “Y’all really deleted the post that got the most likes bruh?,” asked another. “Look what Messi has done to our beloved egg,” posted a third. “It became an omelet,” commented a fourth. “Bro left the chat,” wrote a fifth.
