Chennai Super Kings’ Dwaine Pretorius and Ruturaj Gaikwad combined to dismiss Tran Stubbs with a relay catch in the first innings of their seven-wicket win over the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.
The incident occurred in the 16th over of the Mumbai Indians innings, with Stubbs batting on five.
He hoed a slower, full delivery from Sisanda Magala which seemed destined to land just beyond the boundary rope. But Pretorius caught the ball with two hands.
But he was off balance and realising that he was going to fall over the rope, Pretorius threw the ball back. Thankfully for CSK, Gaikwad was at hand to complete the catch.

Batting first, Mumbai could only manage to score 157/8 with Ishan Kishan (32), Tim David (31), Tilak Verma (22) and Rohit (21) getting starts. In fact the team was 61 for 1 in the powerplay.
But none of them could help the home side put on a defendable total as Santner and Ravindra Jadeja took five wickets between them.
For Chennai, Mumbai boy Ajinkya Rahane scored 27-ball 61-run knock, which helped the team chase down the total with 11 balls to spare.
