I take the responsibility for this, I should have stood there: Nitish Rana after KKR’s loss

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Nitish Rana said he takes responsibility for the side’s loss against the Delhi Capitals on Thursday and acknowledged he should have stayed longer in the middle during their batting.
Speaking after the game Rana said, “I think we were 15-20 runs on this difficult pitch. I take the responsibility for this, I should have stood there.”
KKR bowlers defending a mediocre total of 127 runs took the game to the final over. “Credit to the bowlers though, I think the upcoming games will be good for us. We were just trying to delay, but they played really well in the powerplay. That’s where they won the game. ” Rana said.

Rana further said, “We need to play well as a team. We need to bowl like the way we did today, if we manage to sort these things out, we can fight better.”
The Capitals defeated Knight Riders four wickets to reger their first win of the IPL 2023 season. DC bowlers were on their mark as they bowled out KKR for a paltry 127 after skipper David Warner decided to bowl first. Ishant Sharma, Anrich Nortje, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each.
Warner then scored 57 before Axar Patel hit an unbeaten 19 to guide the hosts to a victory. Earlier, Jason Roy top-scored for KKR. Andre Russell played a useful unbeaten 38-run cameo towards the end to take his side over the 120-run mark.

The Knight Riders have now lost three games in a row after a good start to the season and lingering at the lower half of the table.
