Catch, no ball, six: Abdul Samad and SRH leap past Sandeep Sharma and Rajasthan in a final over thriller
The Indian Premier League match between the Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad ended in epic fashion as a last ball six handed the latter a 4-wicket win on Sunday.
With 5 runs needed off the last ball of the match, Sandeep Sharma thought that he had won it for Rajasthan when Abdul Samad holed out to long on. The Royals’ celebration, however, was cut short when the umpire signaled for a no ball. The ensuing free hit fell to Samad who would finish off the nail biting thriller in bombastic fashion with a maximum.
Before the last ball ball. Sharma was cleanly hit for a six over long on off the second ball as the fielder stationed at boundary was unable to take the catch. With 7 needed off the last three balls, Sharma would yield just 2 off the next 2 balls only to get his and Royals’ collective hearts broken in the end.
WHAT. A. GAME 😱😱
Abdul Samad wins it for the @SunRisers as he hits a maximum off the final delivery. #SRH win 4 wickets.

This was also the joint third highest chase in IPL alongside Mumbai Indians vs Punjab Kings at Mohali this year and RR vs Deccan Chargers in Hyderabad in 2008.
Earlier, English opener Jos Buttler and captain Sanju Samson struck commanding half centuries as Rajasthan Royals piled up 214 for 2.
After a 54-run opening stand with Yashasvi Jaiswal (35), Buttler (95 off 59 balls) stitched another 138 runs with Samson (66 not out) in 13.3 overs to steer the Royals to a big total after opting to bat.
Buttler missed a well-deserved century as he got out in the penultimate over with five runs short. He hit 10 fours and four sixes during his crafty innings.
