Wriddhiman Saha reveals why he puts on trousers other way around

n the post-match show after Gujarat Titans’ thumping 56-run win over Lucknow Super Giants, Wriddhiman Saha in a discussion with KS Bharat, revealed what the confusion was all about and why he wore the trousers other way around.
After the break, KS Bharat comes out as a substitute wicketkeeper but the umpires didn’t allow him to carry on. Saha, who was doing “dry needling”, had to rush back and in a hurry, he put on his trousers the other way around.
“I told the umpires that you (Saha) are having the needling session, but they didn’t allow me to keep,” laughed Bharat.

Saha explained: “I was eating, then the Physio told me to take medicine, and meanwhile, the needling session was also on. In a rush, I wore the trousers the other way around down. But after two overs, I returned, and you did a wonderful job.”
Saha and Shubman Gill put on 142 runs for the first wicket in only 12.1 overs, setting the franchise record for highest partnership for any wicket, as LSG had no respite despite deploying eight bowlers into the attack.
“Preparation was ame like every game. In the last match, I scored 40, and Hardik played well. I wanted to carry forward the same momentum. My plus point is that I take chances in the powerplay. My strength is to play cricketing shots and I back myself to pick the gaps,” said Saha.
Saha got off the blocks quickly to put pressure on the visiting bowlers, hitting Mohsin Khan for a couple of fours and Avesh Khan for a six and a four in the first two overs of the innings.

The Gujarat wicketkeeper-batter continued with his assault on Mohsin in the left-armer’s second over, hitting him for a couple of sixes and fours each to take the defending champions past the 50-run mark inside four overs.
“Middle order and top order are contributing well in tandem. Shubman was doing it and I joined him today. As a team we are looking like a good package and hopefully, we will carry this forward,” he said.
