LSG vs MI tip-off XI: Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday to stay alive in contention for a play-off spot.
LSG will be up against Mumbai Indians, who are on a roll in the business end of the tournament and it will take an uphil task for LSG to halt their momentum.

Mumbai Indians are third on the points table with 14 points and with a point less from same the number of games, LSG are holding on to the fourth spot. Both teams will be looking to get out of the danger zone as eight teams remain in the play-off contention.

Tilak Varma returns
Tilak Varma, who has missed a couple of games due to niggle is likely to return to the playing XI. He will replace Vishnu Vinod, who played a handy knock of 20-ball 30 against the defending champions Gujarat Titans.

Mumbai could bring in offspinner Hrithik Shokeen to target LSG’s left-hand batters. LSG have four left-handed batters in their top-six.

Badoni to come as Impact Sub for LSG
Last time out Ayush Badoni didn’t get a bat because LSG realised they needed quick runs against SRH and that Badoni wasn’t the man for that particular job. But the last time they were here at Lucknow he scored a brilliant 59 not out against CSK in a game where no-one else for Lucknow passed 20. That was the one that was washed out at the end of the first innings.
