India will always be favourites in bigger tournaments: Sourav Ganguly on the IND-PAK Asia Cup and World Cup fixtures

Former India skipper has no qualms in suggesting that when it comes to India vs Pakan, the men in blue start as favorites come the Asia Cup or the 2023 ODI World Cup.
“India will always be favourite in bigger tournaments. Hory says that. We have always had the better of Pakan,” Ganguly told RevSportz. The former BCCI president however, went on to add, “But this Pakan is a good team.”
With the 2023 Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup, the two Asian rivals are set to lock horns at least thrice. The same as it was last year, only in a different format.
India were able to best Babar Azam-led Pakan twice off the three T20 meetings in Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup in Australia. While India have a seven off seven perfect win record against Pakan in the ODI World Cup, the men in blue lead nine to six in the Asia Cup tally.
The former Cricket Association of Bengal president also spoke of the clash as a potential semifinal, which if it happens, would be hosted the Eden Gardens.

On his potential semifinals for the upcoming world event Ganguly said, “Australia, England, India. You can never underestimate New Zealand in these big matches. I will pick five, and include Pakan also. Pakan better qualify so that we will have the India-Pakan semi-final at the Eden Gardens.”
