‘I am still young’: Watch Rohit Sharma bursts into laughter after Ajinkya Rahane’s response
India takes on West Indies in their next assignment, that is scheduled to begin this week with the men in blue playing two Test matches. The Test matches will be part of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23.
The India tour of West Indies 2023 will be a major test for both teams. India will look to continue their dominance in Test cricket, while West Indies will look to improve their standing in the world rankings.
The Indian team seem to be enjoying themselves and is in a good headspace, and this was evident in a recent training session in Dominica where vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane while answering a query from a reporter, said that he is still not old and considers himself young.
This in turn, left skipper Rohit Sharma in splits.
BCCI posted a video of the same.

Rohit Sharma later turned reporter for Rahane and asked the latter about his thoughts on batting in the Caribbean and a message for the youngsters in the team.
“My message for all youngsters is it is essential to have patience as a batter,” said Rahane.
“It is also important to focus on the ground and not get dracted,” he added.
Rahane also said that he still has a lot of cricket ahead of him, and he is enjoying his batting.
“I am still young. There’s still a lot of cricket in me,” he said.
“I had a good IPL and domestic season. I have grown in confidence as a batsman, but in the past one and a half years, I have also worked a lot on my fitness.
“I have worked on a few aspects of my batting. At the moment, I am enjoying my cricket. I am not overthinking about the future. For now, every match is important for me,” he added.
