World Cup ticket sales from August 25 in phased manner; India-Pakan game tickets to be issued from September 3 | Cricket News
Along with the revised schedule of the ODI World Cup, the International Cricket Council has also announced the date for the ticket sales. The first phase would begin on August 25 and the last set of tickets, for the knockout games, would roll out from September 5. It is understood that online ticket service providers bookmyshow will bag the rights.
When will the ticket sales commence?
To manage the mad rush for tickets, the sale of tickets will be in different phases. From August 25, the sales will commence for warm-up and event games of all teams except India. From August 30, one can buy tickets for India’s warm-up games in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram. A day later, tickets for India’s games in Chennai (vs Australia, Oct 8), Delhi (vs Afghanan, Oct 11) and Pune (vs Bangladesh, Oct 19) will be opened. From September 1, fans could purchase for the hosts’ ties in Dharamsala (vs New Zealand, Oct 22), Lucknow (vs England, Oct 29) and Mumbai (vs Sri Lanka, Nov 2). On September 2, those for the Kolkata (vs South Africa, Nov 5) and Bengaluru (vs Netherlands, Nov 12) games will commence.

Finally, on September 3, the tickets for the most in-demand game, India versus Pakan in Ahmedabad on October 14, will be sold. Those for the semifinals and finals would start on September 15.

As tickets will be sold on multiple dates, ICC would alert fans ahead of the sales. Fans can reger through https:/www.cricketworldcup.com/reger from August 15. It will enable them to receive news regarding tickets.
Where do they buy tickets?
The BCCI and ICC haven’t confirmed the identity of their ticketing partner. But it learned the Indian board could hand over ticket dribution to bookmyshow.com.
How can they get the booked tickets?
Once a ticket is booked, fans will be given the option to get it courier or collect it from the designated venue. Those who want to collect their tickets through a courier facility will have to pay Rs 140 rupees extra but only within India. Courier options will be applicable to those who buy tickets 72 hours before the scheduled game. There will be no e-tickets.
Will there be reserve days in case of rain?
There is no reserve day for league games. But there is one for all three knockout games.
