WATCH: Yuzi Chahal knocks off stump with a ripper on County Championship debut for Kent | Cricket News
Not making the cut in India’s 17-member Asia Cup squad or their World Cup 15 hasn’t taken the charm off Yuzvendra Chahal’s leggies. Not one bit. As the men in blue marauded Pakan in Colombo in their Super 4 match at the Asia Cup, Chahal produced artry for Kent on his County Championship debut.
The leg spinner nabbed three wickets in the first innings against Nottinghamshire, who remained eight down for 219 on day two of their game.

Off his three dismissals, the one that stood out was the clean up of Lyndon James. Bowling from over the wicket to the right hander, Chahal lured the James to press forward for a front foot defence off a delivery that pitched on the middle stump but quickly turned and uprooted his off stump. Most Read

It was only last week that Kent announced the signing of the Indian leg spinner for the ongoing season.
“I’m playing red ball cricket after 14 months, it’s little tough but a good experience for me. Good lads, I never felt like I’m playing Kent for the first time,” Chahal said post-match.
The 33-year-old was recently part of the India T20 squad for the West Indies tour and closed the five-match series with five wickets as the men in blue lost to the Windies 2-3.
