The players looked scattered, they were hesitant to even give suggestions to Babar Azam: Moin Khan | Cricket News

Former Pakani cricketer Moin Khan questioned the attitude of the Pakan players on the field and the reluctance of some of the senior players to give suggestions to skipper Babar Azam during the game.
“I saw this 100%. The players looked scattered, they were hesitant to even give suggestions to Babar, whether it was Rizwan, Shadab or Shaheen. It was visible that the team wasn’t gelled up. There were no discussions, and even if there were suggestions and Babar was following them, they weren’t working,” said Moin Khan speaking to Cricket Pakan
The comments came after New Zealand gunned down a 346-run target in their opening World Cup warm-up game against Pakan. New Zealand won the game five wickets earlier this week.

Moin also suggested that he had witnessed similar things when the side was playing against India in the Asia Cup 2023.Most Read

“Another thing was, against India, players are scared. And those who really are scared that their suggestions won’t work… that’s fear. As a cricketer, you have to play on your potential and you should contribute 100%. It’s okay if your suggestions go wrong, it happens. But your body language shows whether you want to win, and that wasn’t visible. And I’m pretty sure there were some issues in the dressing room. And I know, in a professional environment, there are differences but you have to end them to perform better. You have to move on,” he added.
On that day A fifer from Kuldeep Yadav after centuries KL Rahul (111*) and Virat Kohli (122*) guided India to a 228-run victory over Pakan in the Super 4 match, in Colombo.

Besides the centuries from Rahul and Kohli, India also had half-centuries Rohit Sharma (56) and Shubman Gill (58) that propelled them to a first innings score of 356/2 in 50 overs. This was after the Asia Cup match between India and Pakan resumed on Monday after rain delayed the start of the reserve day. Despite play starting one hour 40 minutes after the scheduled time, the game remained 50 overs a side contest.
