IND vs PAK: Wasim Akram slams Babar Azam for on-field shirt exchange with Virat Kohli after Pakan’s thumping loss to India | Cricket-world-cup News
Pakan skipper Babar Azam was seen taking Virat Kohli’s signed jersey after the visitors’ thumping loss to India in the ongoing ICC cricket World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
Kohli and Babar have shown mutual respect to each other in the past and have admired each other’s contributions to their countries.
However, former Pakan skipper Wasim Akram was unhappy with the incident and slammed Babar Azam. “Babar should have not met Kohli on the ground. This was not the situation to meet Kohli openly. Babar should have taken the shirt privately from Virat,” he would say according to Cricket Pakan.
In the match on Saturday, spurred the home support, India fired on all cylinders in what was supposed to be a terse encounter. They blew away arch-rivals Pakan with ease seven wickets.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma emerged as the undisputed star of the match, scoring a 63-ball 86 to power his team in their chase of the modest target of 192 with as many as 19.3 overs to spare. Most Read

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj were searingly clinical with the ball before skipper Rohit completed the rout as India produced a near-perfect performance in one of the most lopsided World Cup games between the arch-rivals.
Rohit just casually flaunted his repertoire of strokes, which included a pull shot behind square of Shaheen Shah Afridi and a square driven six off Haris Rauf, as India were home 8.05 pm local time.
The win was India’s eighth in the 50 over global event, where Pakan had never been able to match their neighbours in terms of skill, strategy or execution since 1992.
