England all-rounder Liam Livingstone rebuffed Eoin Morgan’s comment that the defending champions were looking “unsettled” and dismissed claims that there is unrest inside the dressing room.
“Everybody in that dressing room has got immense respect for Morgs. We all love Morgs, but hand on heart there is nothing going wrong in the team,” Livingstone told reporters in the mixed zone after England lost to India 100 runs in Lucknow.

Former England captain Eoin Morgan, who had led the side to the title in 2019, raised concerns over the Jos Buttler-led team’s morale and confidence, saying “there’s something within the team that is definitely unsettled.”

“The method which they’re trying to use and given the substantial nature in which they’ve lost the game(s). It is definitely called into question, the morale within the changing room and the confidence. It must be at its lowest that it’s been for a considerable period of time now,” he further said.
“I’ve never come across a sports team that has underperformed like this England team, given the level of expectation that is on their shoulders. There’s something within the team that is definitely unsettled,” Morgansaid on Sky Sports ahead of India clash.Most Read

Morgan had also made scathing attack on England’s selection.
“They’ve made makes with selection. They’ve really struggled to find a balanced side and one that’s effective enough to compete, never mind win this tournament. It’s been unbelievably challenging for Jos and his team and they have to regain the confidence in the method that they’ve used for so long that has made them double world champions,” he said.
England will next face Australia in Ahmedabad on November 4, followed Netherlands in Pune on November 8, and Pakan on November 11 at Eden Gardens.
