Was he really that tired after three matches? Ajay Jadeja slams management over unfair treatment of Ishan Kishan | Cricket News

Former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja has slammed Indian team management for their unfair treatment to Ishan Kishan, who was rested from the last two T2OIs.
“There was a series right after the World Cup. Ishan Kishan played three matches and went home (rested). Was he really that tired after three matches that he needed rest?,” Jadeja said on Sports Tak.
“He didn’t even play a lot of games at the World Cup. He deserved his spot in the playing XI for the first few World Cup matches. How many Indian players have scored a double century on a good day?” Jadeja asked.
Kishan, who played the first two games in the ODI World Cup and then warmed the bench throughout the campaign. Then in the recently-concluded T20I series, Ishan was rested for the last two matches. The 25-year-old has scored two fifties in his three outings.

“Ishan Kishan didn’t even play the entire five-match T20I series against Australia. He was sent home (rested) after three matches to rest. So, if this is going to continue, how will you ensure that he is fully ready?” said Jadeja.
Despite not getting regular chances, Kishan has been a regular member of the side. India off-spinner R Ashwin heaped praise on Ishan Kishan’s selfless attitude.
“Ishan Kishan has a great attitude. I feel happy when he plays well. He’s someone who makes everyone happy, he keeps every player’s bat, gloves, and helmets ready and never complains when he sits out,” Ashwin had said on his YouTube channel.
Kishan has been included in the T20I and Tests squad for India’s tour to South Africa.
