IPL Auction 2024: Sunrisers Hyderabad complete players l, squad after Pat Cummins becomes costliest player ever | Cricket News
IPL SRH Team 2023 Players L: Having finished at the bottom of the points table last year, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be looking to turn tables in the upcoming IPL season. Starting from the auction on Tuesday in Dubai.Hyderabad have retained as many as 19 players ahead of the auction and released six. With a purse of 34 crore, the 2016 winners have six slots to fill.
The franchise also traded Shahbaz Ahmed from the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Among the overseas players the franchise still boasts the likes of Heinrich Klaasen, Marco Jansen, Glenn Phillips, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Aiden Markram, who’d replaced Kane Williamson last season as the captain.
The department where the team has been missing some big names is the India internationals. Barring Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the franchise has relied heavily on youngsters – Abdul Samad, Umran Malik, Mayank Markande, etc – to form their core.
With Harry Brook released, the franchise may be eyeing for a top order overseas batter, who can score big. It’s been the recipe to their success in the past. When they lifted the trophy in 2016, David Warner had been the second highest run scorer of the season. In 2018, when Hyderabad made it to the final, Kane Williamson had finished with the orange cap.
