IPL 2024 DC Team Players L: After a poor IPL 2023, the Delhi Capitals will be looking to strengthen their squad in the auction.
They have been perennial underachievers in the IPL. They have made it to the top four three times in the first five editions. But then finished in the bottom three in the next six.
However, changing the name from Delhi Daredevils to Delhi Capitals as it it brought luck. The finished in the playoffs three straight times, including a final in 2020. Thereafter, they have finished fifth in 2022 and ninth in 2023, which they would love to change in the upcoming season.
Delhi Capitals have suffered a massive blow last year, when they lost their captain Rishabh Pant, who met with a road accident in December, last year, while he was on the way to his home in Roorkee.
In absence of Pant, veteran Australia batter David Warner was named as captain of Delhi Capitals. India all-rounder Axar Patel will be the vice-captain of the Delhi team.
Pant underwent knee ligament surgery in January. Last month, Pant attended the Delhi Capitals camp at the Jadavpur University campus in Kolkata but didn’t train with his teammates as he was still not ready for full-fledged net sessions.
