Nokia 8 smartphone design leaked in images, specifications tipped
Amid several rumours about the upcoming Nokia 9, a new report has popped up online, showing few images of a yet-to-be-announced Nokia-branded smartphone, likely the Nokia 8.
Coming from CNMO website, the leaked images show the design of Nokia 8. While one of the images shows the smartphone from the front, the other image shows the handset from the back.
If the images are to be believed, Nokia 8 will sport a dual curved display with minimal bezels on the top and bottom, something similar to what we have seen with LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8. At the top there, will be the usual set of sensors and the speaker grille, while the bottom area will have the ‘Nokia’ logo.
The smartphone will sport a vertical camera strip on one side. Another image shows the handset from the bottom, will speakers on both sides and a USB Type-C port in the middle. The 3.5mm audio jack is on the top.
Talking about the features, the website claims that the smartphone will sport an iris scanner, something that has been rumoured for the Nokia 9 as well. Previous rumours have indicated that the smartphone will have a 6-inch QHD display. It’ll be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The handset is expected to have a dual rear camera setup with an 8MP sensor and a 14MP sensor, in addition to Carl Zeiss technology.
Rumoured to arrive by the end of this month, Nokia 8 is expected to cost CNY 3188, or about Rs 30,300.
On a related note, HMD Global recently joined hands with Carl Zeiss in order to bring the latter’s imaging and optics technology in upcoming Nokia-branded smartphones.
