“We have been performing pretty well and showed a good approach in the semifinal. I am very happy that we are performing this way and hope to carry that in the final as well,” he said.
“I try to pick up different things from different bowlers. Like Shoaib Akhtar’s pace, the accuracy of Dale Steyn and the aggression of Mitchell Starc. I like these things as a left arm seamer and learn a lot of things from them,” Tiwary added.
On asked what his aim is as a cricketer, Tiwary said that he wanted to bowl the fastest delivery in the world.
“I want to bowl the fastest delivery in the world and want to play a part in helping India win a senior World Cup,” the player said.
“I like playing in all three formats but in a Test match I think there are a lot of challenges and it’s a pretty crucial time for a bowler,” the player said.
India defeated South Africa 2 wickets in the semifinal on Tuesday while Australia edged Pakan 1 wicket in the other semifinal there setting up a summit clash against each other which is the repeat of the 2023 Men’s World Cup final.
