IPL 2024 points table update: Mumbai Indians finish season at the bottom of table after loss to Lucknow Super Giants | Ipl News

IPL Points Table 2024, Team Rankings: Lucknow Super Giants ended their season with a win and consigned Mumbai Indians to a bottom-placed finish after defeating them 18 runs at the Wankhede on Thursday. LSG, meanwhile, finished the season in the 6th spot.
Sunrisers Hyderabad became the third team to qualify for the playoffs after their match against Gujarat Titans was called off on Thursday due to incessant rain in Hyderabad. With both teams sharing a point apiece, SRH temporarily moved to 3rd position but might come down to the 4th if Chennai beat Bengaluru on Saturday. The Sunrisers now have 15 points from 13 matches with a game in hand and in order for them to finish in the Top 2, they have to beat Punjab Kings on Sunday and also hope that Rajasthan Royals slip up against Kolkata Knight Riders.
On Wednesday, the Punjab Kings inched past the Royals in a low-scoring affair five wickets. Rajasthan’s playoffs spot was secured a day earlier, thanks to Delhi Capitals’ victory over Lucknow on Tuesday in the IPL. On Tuesday, Delhi Capitals’ 19-run win over Lucknow Super Giants has hurt the chances of both these teams qualifying for the Playoffs.
