T20 World Cup 2024: Indian cricketers undergo intense training in New York ahead of their warm-up match against Bangladesh | Cricket News
India will start their T20 World Cup campaign with a warm-up match against Bangladesh on Saturday at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Ahead of the game, the Indian players were seen undergoing intense training.
While skipper Rohit Sharma was seen sorting out his defences vice-captain Hardik Pandya was playing crisp shots on the leg-side. Rishabh Pant was seen practicing his unconventional shots through mid-wicket with Shivam Dube testing his batswing in a video released BCCI.
Jasrpit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Mohammed Siraj were seen bowling under bright sunshine. All-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja rolled their arms over as well.
Which group India is in?
India, Pakan, hosts United States, Ireland and Canada form Group A of the 20-team ICC Men’s T20 World Cup set to begin on June 1.
The teams will meet each other in a single-round robin format before the top two teams in the group proceed to the Super Eight stage of the tournament. All the group A games will be exclusively played in the United States of America (USA) with the West Indies being the co-hosts of the marquee event.
USA and Canada will feature in the tournament opener at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas on June 1.
