India vs Germany FIH Pro League Live Score: India’s men’s and women’s hockey teams will be back in action on Saturday, as they finish this season’s FIH Pro League campaigns with the London leg. Over the next week, they will face Germany and Great Britain over two matches each. On Saturday, the men’s hockey team takes on reigning world champions Germany, followed later in the night when the women’s teams play each other.
Harmanpreet Singh’s men are in the final stages of their preparation for Paris 2024, and these four matches in London will likely decide the final squad that goes to the Olympic Games. For Salima Tete’s side, the objective will be to avoid relegation from Pro League as they rebuild after the disappointment of not qualifying for Paris.
In the recently-concluded Antwerp leg, Indian men started with a 2-2 draw (5-4 win for shootout bonus) against Argentina, followed a 1-4 loss to Belgium. In the return fixtures, they drew 2-2 (1-3 loss in shootout) against Belgium before defeating Argentina in a thrilling match which ended 5-4. The Indian women, however, lost all four matches and didn’t score a goal despite some encouraging signs under new coach Harendra Singh.
Craig Fulton’s side were outplayed Belgium in Antwerp in the first match before showing up to the fight well in the return fixture. Read more about that Mihir Vasavda here.
“We played some intense matches against Argentina and Belgium in Antwerp, both in the same pool as us in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
