India to tour England for five-Test matches in summer 2025, schedule announced | Cricket News

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Thursday announced the schedule for the five-Test match series against India starting June 2025.
The two-time World Test Championship (WTC) finals will kickstart the 2025/27 cycle against England with the five Tests at Headingly, Edgbaston, Lord’s, Old Trafford and The Oval, with the first match scheduled to begin on June 20.
The beginning of the series will be closely after the 2023/25 cycle WTC Final, which is likely to take place in early June at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. The tour will extend to early August with the last match starting July 31.
This will be the fourth series in a row between these two teams in England that will feature the two playing five Tests. The last time India toured England in 2021, the hosts ended up drawing the series (2-2) after the final Test match was postponed to 2022.
India are yet to clinch a Test series in England since 2007, when Rahul Dravid led the visitors to a 1-0 win in the three-Test series.
At home, in their previous series against England in early 2024, India had emerged victorious a 4-1 margin in another five-Test match series.
Rohit Sharma and Co have a packed red-ball calendar for the remainder of the year with two matches against Bangladesh and three against New Zealand at home followed a five-Test series against Australia Down Under.
