India at Paris 2024 Paralympic Games LIVE Updates: India will be banking on their track and field athletes to win perhaps a couple of medals on the penultimate day of action at the Paris Paralympics 2024 on Saturday. It is the last day of track and field of action at the Stade de France as track and field events come to a close (minus marathons). After her agonising miss in the 100m final, Simran has another shot at a medal as she reached Women’s 200m T12 final. Simran won Semifinal 3 with a timing of 25.03s, that gave her the automatic qualification. Accompanied her guide Abhay Singh, Simran finished first in her Round 1 Heat. Her final will be on Saturday night. In Men’s 400m – T47 Round 1, Dilip Gavit finished third in his heat and reached the final as well that will take place on Saturday.
In Men’s Javelin Throw – F41 Final, Navdeep will be in action. He had won bronze medal at the World Championships in Kobe earlier this year and had finished fourth at Tokyo Paralympics.
In para cycling, Arshad Shaik and Jyoti Gaderiya will be in action in men’s and women’s C1-3 road race medal round, respectively. In para swimming, Suyash Narayan Jadhav and Yash Kumar will be in action in the men’s 50m butterfly event. In the para canoe, Yash Kumar and Prachi Yadav will be in action in the men’s and women’s event, respectively.
