World Test Championship: Where does India stand after whitewashing Bangladesh 2-0? | Cricket News

On Tuesday India beat Bangladesh seven wickets. With the win India whitewashed the visitors 2-0 and won their 18th home series in a row. As a result, India continues to stay at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) table.
Both the 2023 finals India and defending champions Australia lead the WTC standings, with PCTs of 72.24 and 62.50 respectively. Sri Lanka on the other hand with their series win against New Zealand has reached the third position and has 55.55 PCT.
Sri Lanka are next slated to tour South Africa for two Tests before hosting Australia in January. India too will face Australia later this year in a five-match Test series away from home. These series might play a pivotal role in which teams may face each other in WTC final 2025 to be held in Lords.
England also has a chance to play in the final and they face Pakan in a match Test series later this month.
