Joe Root with his double hundred has separated himself from Younis Khan, Sunil Gavaskar, Brian Lara and Mahela Jayawardene who have scored 34 tons in their Test careers.

4th highest partnership ever
Brook has stitched a gigantic partnership of 454 runs with Joe Root who himself managed to put on a 262-run score. The partnership between the Yorkshiremen is the fourth highest between them ever.

4th highest Test score ever
England has declared at 823/7 which is the fourth-highest team total. Brook’s 317, Root’s 262, Ben Duckett’s 84 and Zack Crawley’s 78 are the chief contributions to the massive score.
