Jon Jones celebrated his defeat of Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 doing a Donald Trump-style dance and then briefly handing over the UFC heavyweight title to the US President elect. While Jones did his little shimmy, his defeated opponent crawled on all fours in the background.
Trump was attending the UFC 309 fight night after taking a break from making decisions on who would join his cabinet when he formally takes over. Trump was in the front row for the fights, flanked UFC chief Dana White on his right and X owner Elon Musk on his left.
Musk and Trump have been inseparable in recent times with the latter also naming Musk to lead a new Department of Government Efficiency. Also joining the posse were Robert Kennedy Jr, who Trump has already named lead the Department of Health and Human Services in his incoming adminration and Kid Rock.

Around 20,200 UFC fans gave a rousing ovation to Trump just before the start of the pay-per-view card. Many fans sported Trump hats and some waved flags emblazoned with his image.
In the octagon, Jones defeated Miocic in the third round to get a TKO which helped him retain the UFC heavyweight championship. Jones claimed victory with a spinning back kick to the his opponent’s ribcage and then delivered a series of blows to the head.
After his win, Jones climbed to the top of the cage and then did a few jubilant gestures, some in the direction of Trump.
“I’m proud to be a great American champion,” Jones said. “I want to say a big, big thank you to President Donald Trump for being here tonight.”
