Income Tax raids on Kedia addresses in six states

INDORE/BHOPAL/RAIPUR: Income tax officials on Tuesday conducted simultaneous search-and-seizure operations at establishments of Kedia Group and Associated Alcohol and Breweries Ltd at 11 cities in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Jharkhand and in Delhi.
I-T sources said they found Rs 5 crore in cash and 3kg jewellery during coordinated searches at 40 locations. “More than 200 personnel were deployed in the searches conducted on the premises owned by Kedia Group at more than three dozen places,” said R K Paliwal, I-T director (investigations) for the MP and Chhattisgarh.
In Madhya Pradesh, searches were carried out at Indore, Dhar and Rewa and in Chhattisgarh, in Raipur and Bhilai.
