Rohit Sharma clarifies his knee is fine, talks about Virat Kohli’s off-stump issues and explains who will bat where | Cricket News

Amid the injury scare ahead of the fourth India vs Australia Test in Melbourne Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has declared that his “knee is fine.” Earlier, the 38-year-old got hit on his knee and there were speculations about the seriousness of the injury he has sustained.
When the topic of who bats where has come Rohit responded saying “Let’s not worry about who bats where. Something that we need to figure out and not something I would be discussing here. We will do what is best for the team,” to the press.
The Indian captain has been going through a poor run of form in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy. When he missed the opening Test in Perth KL Rahul who was made to open with Yashasvi Jaiswal and in the second innings Rahul delivered a solid 77 which laid the foundation for India scoring a massive second innings total.
The performance of KL Rahul meant that Rohit himself has pushed down the order to number six and runs have been hard to come for the Indian skipper so far in the series. He scored 10 runs at an average of 6.33 for the side.

Along with Rohit, Virat Kohli has looked off-color so far in the series, fetching the balls outside the off-stump. Though he managed to score a ton in Perth, that came when India was already in a dominating position in the game, thanks to hard work from the openers.
“Kohli’s off stump… you only say modern-day great. Modern-day greats figure out their path,” said Rohit when he was asked about Kohli and his issues around off-stump.
While India has thrashed Australia in the Perth they have lost in Adelaide in a resounding fashion and got away with a sneaky draw in Brisbane. However, on a positive note, the visitors have regered a win in their last two times to Melbourne.
