MS Dhoni will likely lead Chennai Super Kings for the Indian Premier League 2025 match against Delhi Capitals in front of their home crowd at MA Chidambaram Stadium, indicated batting coach Michael Hussey. CSK will host DC on Saturday’s afternoon game.
This development came after Ruturaj Gaikwad’s participation in the DC game looked doubtful after the top-order batter was hit during the match against Rajasthan Royals. Ruturaj was hit on the hands of a delivery Tushar Deshpande.
“Ruturaj Gaikwad’s participation in tomorrow’s game will depend on how well he recovered. He is still sore and we would take a call as to how he bats in the nets today. If he doesn’t play, not sure who will lead. But there is a strong chance that a young wicketkeeper might fill in,” said Hussey during the pre-match press conference on match eve.
