‘Scum that spent last 4 years trying to destroy country’: Trump’s Memorial Day message for Biden | World News

US President Donald Trump is set to speak at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday as part of Memorial Day events. He will lay a wreath and deliver remarks at the cemetery’s amphitheatre, continuing a tradition of American presidents marking the occasion honouring military personnel who died in service.
However, Trump began the day with strong online statements targeting his political rivals. In a post on his social media platform, Trump criticised former President Joe Biden, calling him “the scum that spent the last four years trying to destroy our country through warped radical left minds.”
He also criticised Biden’s handling of immigration, saying: “an open border that only an incompetent president would approve.”

Trump directed more comments at federal judges who have blocked parts of his immigration policies, saying they were “USA hating judges who suffer from an ideology that is sick, and very dangerous for our country.”
He added, “Hopefully the United States Supreme Court, and other good and compassionate judges throughout the land, will save us from the decisions of the monsters who want our country to go to hell.”
Earlier in the morning, Trump posted a separate message saying “Happy Memorial Day!” a phrase sometimes viewed as inappropriate because the day is intended to mourn military members who died in combat.
