Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter sparks engagement buzz with Los Angeles-based actor, flashes diamond ring on date night | Hollywood News

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s oldest daughter, Zahara, seems to have come a step closer to wedding bells. The 20-year-old sparked engagement rumours during her recent outing, wearing what looked like a big diamond on her wedding ring finger in photos obtained Page Six. She was photographed while exiting Craig’s in Hollywood, Calif., Monday night. In 2005, Jolie adopted Zahara, who was born in Hawassa, Ethiopia, and was only seven months old at the time. Jolie and Brad had just started dating, and when the Maleficent star returned to make the adoption official, Pitt joined her, eventually giving the newborn his own last name.

Zahara, who attends Atlanta’s Spelman College and proudly joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, often hits the red carpet with Jolie while also stepping into the actor’s philanthropic work. The college goer is currently on her summer vacation and was spotted hopping into a car with a man identified as Elijah Cooper. Zahara kept it low-key, wearing a hat to shield her face, a black tank top, a white cropped cardigan, black slacks, and plain sandals. Her date, matching her vibe in a coordinated outfit, is believed to be a Los Angeles-based model, actor, and founder of Tints streetwear, while also attending Morehouse in Atlanta. The two exchanged flirty smiles, looking giddy as they drove off.

Zahara was the first to drop Brad Pitt’s infamous last name in 2023, before Shiloh, Maddox, and others joined. While marking her new chapter as a member of the AKAs, the then 19-year-old left her dad’s name behind and introduced herself: “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie,” she added. “Coming all the way from the Golden State, in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California. … I am this line’s number seven.” Brad and Jolie share six kids together, including Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Shiloh, 19, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. The couple dated for over a decade before tying the knot in 2014 and then shortly splitting in 2016.

The two were left embroiled in a nasty custody battle that came down to Jolie accusing Pitt of assault on a private jet and abusing her in front of the kids. The F1 star has repeatedly denied the accusations, with the latest development surfacing in December 2024, that settled their divorce after 8 long years. Pitt’s biological kids, Shiloh and Vivienne’s decision to follow suit reportedly left him devastated. At the time, a source close to the actor said, “He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter,” the source told People. “The reminders that he’s lost his children are, of course, not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”
Apart from her studies, Zahara has been actively helping Angelina Jolie in her humanitarian efforts. In 2023, the mother-daughter duo travelled to Washington, D.C., for meetings with officials and lawmakers and pushed for the Justice for All Reauthorization Act of 2022. At the time, Zahara advocated to protect crime victims “creating a victims’ right to evidence and agency reports, standard forensic science, calling for end to the rape kit backlog, and addressing racial disparities in wrongful convictions,” according to People.
