MP: Shivraj’s government accepts demands for teachers, hunger strike
Bhopal: After the assurance given by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan to fulfill most of the demands of teachers, the hunger strike for two days ended on Tuesday. State Teacher’s Union President Jagadish Yadav issued a statement on Tuesday evening and said that Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan had decided to abolish the fast on the assurance given by his residence and principal secretary Ashok Charakal in a talk in Ballabh Bhawan.
All employees will meet regular employees
Yadav said that during the talks, there has been consensus that teachers will be given the benefit of seniority from the date of first appointment in case of Civilian in the education department, all facilities like regular employees will receive. Simplicity will be done in the rules of compassionate appointment, so that the dependents of thousands of compassionate appointments of the state can get compassion. After this, in the matter of seniority of the Guruji, the Chief Minister assured to seriously consider.
Meeting with Chief Minister
On being educated in the education department, the Chief Minister assured to consider the opinion of the primary teachers, secondary teachers and disagreements in the name of higher secondary education. The delegation gave some suggestions to the Chief Minister about the designation and also said that if the teacher cadre is named after it, it will be the best. After discussions with the Chief Minister, the teachers, who were unaware of the meeting, met Shahjahan in the park and after discussions on the topic of discussion announced the termination of movement and fast.
