US tech firm Astronomer probes CEO Andy ron after viral Coldplay ‘kiss cam’ video | World News

The US tech company, Astronomer, which found itself in a controversy after two of its employees, including the CEO were found embracing each other in video relayed on giant screen during a Coldplay concert, has issued a statement on LinkedIn about the matter and said it has launched an investigation.
In the video clip which has since gone viral on the internet, two people are seen with their arms wrapped around each other, identified later as Andy ron, CEO of tech firm Astronomer and Krin Cabot, the company’s Chief People Officer. Both the employees of the Astronomer were attending the Coldplay concert being held in Boston.

“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability,” the company in a statement on LinkedIn said.

The statement added that the company’s board of directors “has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.” The statement clarified about misinformation being circulated on the internet including a misidentification of a third person and statement from the CEO a parody X account.

As soon as the footage of ron and Cabot were relayed on a giant screen during the concert, they abruptly ducked and hid from the camera. The video of the couple ducking the camera during the live concert exploded on the internet on Wednesday night. The Coldplay concert was being held at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts.
The lead singer of the Coldplay, Chris Martin, after seeing the pair hide from the camera said to the crowd, “Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.” The video which was posted initially on TikTok received millions of views and was later shared across the platforms.
