Sonam Kapoor debuts her new look, Arjun Kapoor trolls her in a way only brothers can. See pics
Sonam Kapoor has finally begun work on her next film, The Zoya Factor. Her last film, Veere Di Weeding, which boasted of an ensemble cast including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania, has turned out to be a hit. On Wednesday, the actor revealed that she had begun shooting for her new film, to be directed by Abhishek Sharma. The film also stars Malayalam sweetheart Dulquer Salmaan and Sonam’s uncle Sanjay Kapoor. The film is based on Anuja Chauhan’s popular novel by the same name and charts the relationship between an advertising executive and her interactions with the Indian Cricket Team.
Sonam is keen on a different look for the film and got her hair permed for the same. In the latest pictures shared by her sister Rhea Kapoor, she certainly looked different. Not just her hair, the clothes too are different. They seem to be from a Paris-based fashion label called Y-Project. In the series of pictures, Sonam can be seen wearing an oversized brown blazer with sky blue shirt and matching brown buttoned pants. Sonam has a huge ear loops on and is holding a clutch. Not to be missed are the rings on her fingers. She choice of footwear is sleek as she wears plain black heels.Sharing the picture, Rhea wrote: “Hi I’m the president of the Big Boys Club. @sonamkapoor in @yproject_official Jewels by @beganijewels.”
Looks like her family and friends are super excited about her new look. Her cousin Arjun Kapoor is clearly in the mood for some fun. Reacting to pictures, he wrote: “I want my suit back.” Father Anil Kapoor is, of course, at his indulgent best and said, “Love the look” while Farah Khan Kundar also commented on the permed hair and said: “Loving the hair… perms r back?”
Speaking about The Zoya Factor, Sonam had earlier unveiled a promotional image of the film which showed Dulquer Salmaan and Sonam holding Anuja Chauhan’s novel. She has another film, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, in her kitty.
The film will mark Dulquer’s second Hindi film after Karwaan, which also starred Irrfan Khan.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma, who is well known for his films Tere Bin Laden (2010) and Parmanu (2018), too is looking forward to directing this film. He had good things to say not only about the story, but also the lead actors in the film. “It’s a high-octane, feel-good drama. And, I am hoping the audience would enjoy watching it. As far as Sonam and Dulquer are concerned, they both are both hard working and versatile actors. I remember how actively they participated in the reading and rehearsal sessions. What I also like about this casting is that they have this different body of work and have done well in their respective careers. They are chilled out people… So, it’s going to be a very fun, young and energetic film.”
