Unitech returns home with a home buyer
New Delhi: The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has asked Real Estate Company Unitech Limited to return a house buyer of Rs 58 lakhs in a Noida project with a home buyer. The company was unable to prepare the apartment within the stipulated time of the consumer.
The Commission has asked the company to provide poor service to the consumer that it has asked the consumer strength Kumar Matta to return 58,41,623 rupees with 10% interest annually in six weeks. The company has also been asked to pay 10 thousand rupees as the cost of the case.
The Chairman of the Commission, Justice Deepa Sharma said, “Since the complainant has clearly stated that the counterparty (Unitech) has failed to provide the apartment in due time, Unitech has reduced the service and for this reason I accept the complaint. Complainant Matta booked the flat in 2006 in Unitech Habitat in Noida. He promised to give them a home in 36 months.
