Audiences of Netflix series and movies are being treated day in and day out with new films and the latest seasons of fan-favourite shows. Adding to that l, the streamer announced season 5 of Emily in Paris, and it looks like fans are in for another change of scenery. The series is set to hit screens all over the world on December 18, and according to the pictures shared Netflix, Emily is going to Venice at some point.
The last season saw Emily, played Lily Collins, dance herself from Gabriel after Genevieve made her believe that he did not wish to see her. Emily, who couldn’t understand Gabriel because he was talking in French, couldn’t exactly ask him because that’s how the entire altercation started, with Gabriel complaining about not being able to express himself properly in English. Emily leaves and finds another romantic interest in the form of Marcello, while her friend Mindy goes through the experience of performing for a cabaret and having her passion for singing belittled her boyfriend.

Things with Marcello weren’t off to a great start, but then Emily got the news that Sylvie has opened an office of Agence Grateau in Rome and that she wants Emily to head it. The fans saw glimpses of the first season, as Emily explored her new home in the new city and prepared for the journey ahead. Netflix’s official announcement of Emily in Paris Season 5 read, “Now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily faces professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city. But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires, and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks. Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity, and a readiness to embrace new possibilities.”
Created and written Darren Star, the cast of the show includes Lily Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie, Lucien Laviscount, Eugenio Franceschini, Thalia Besson, Paul Forman, Arnaud Binard, Minnie Driver, Bryan Greenberg, and Michèle Laroque. The ending of the fourth season suggested that Gabriel might be coming to Rome to meet Emily, as he missed her after winning the Michelin Star for his restaurant.
