The Lokah team recently celebrated the film’s success as it minted Rs 101 crore worldwide within seven days of release. It is the positive reviews and word-of-mouth promotion that have helped the film attract audiences to theatres. The film was released alongside Mohanlal’s Hridayapoorvam, but it has raced ahead of the superstar’s film, which has collected only Rs 18.10 crore in India within the first seven days.
Lokah marks the debut of a female superhero film in Malayalam cinema. Mixing folklore and fantasy elements, it tells a tale set in the modern world. The film is directed Dominic Arun and produced Dulquer Salmaan under the banner of Wayfarer Films.
