Shah Rukh Khan has finally received his first National Award for Best Actor, winning the honour for his performance in the 2023 film Jawan. Among the first to celebrate the horic achievement were his wife and producer Gauri Khan, along with their children Suhana and Aryan, who praised him on social media. Gauri even revealed a special gift for her husband. The superstar accepted the award in Delhi today.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Gauri shared a photo of Shah Rukh and wrote, “What a journey it’s been @iamsrk. Congratulations on winning the National Award!!! So deserving… it’s a result of your years of hardwork and dedication. Now I’m designing a special mantle for this award.”

Proud children Suhana Khan and Aryan Khan shared a joint post on Instagram to celebrate their father’s victory. Along with two pictures of him, they wrote, “You always said you never win the silver, only lose the gold but This Silver is Gold… Our hearts are so happy seeing you receive the prestigious National Award, Congratulations papa we love you.”
Shah Rukh Khan graced the 71st National Film Awards 2025 ceremony in a black bandhgala and dark sunglasses, sporting a cropped ponytail. His salt-and-pepper look, complete with a beard and longer hair, left many fans impressed.

During the ceremony, SRK was seen sitting with his friend Rani Mukerji, who also received her first Best Actress National Film Award for her performance in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. Shah Rukh shared his National award this year with 12th Fail actor Vikrant Massey.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for his next film King, which also stars his daughter Suhana Khan. Directed Siddharth Anand, the movie is set to hit the big screen in late 2026.
